John Ross Wilbert Peterson, 34, of Mt. Prospect, died suddenly on Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was born on December 30, 1980, to Paul Peterson and Mary Jo nee Ludwig Peterson. His surviving family includes his parents; grandfather: Wilbert; siblings and spouses: Tim, Jenny, Andy, Regan, Lillian, Matt, Sue, Matt and Mary Rose; aunts and uncles: Judy, Ross, Carol, Gordon, Debbie, Len, Ramona, Howie, Dorothy, Fred, Diane, Gloria and Marty; nephews and niece: Hawkins, Colten, Liam and Emmarose; and numerous cousins. He was loved by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 Central Rd., at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect, on Wednesday, July 1, from 5 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Raymond de Penafort Parish, Elmhurst Rd. (RTt.83) at Lincoln St. Mt. Prospect on Thursday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9:30 AM until Mass at 10:30 AM
A luncheon will follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Alliance of Mental Illness www.namibarringtonarea.org or a tree can be planted in his honor (John liked sugar maples).
